The goal of the Catalyst CDC Capacity Builder program is to build the organizational and development capacity of CDCs in Texas in order to measurably increase their production output. TACDC is proud to offer a comprehensive slate of training opportunities as part of its Community Development Capacity Building Program. TACDC is a statewide organization whose mission is to strengthen the capacity of community development organizations by generating resources and relationships that enhance and sustain the community development industry in Texas. Launched in 2001, TACDC's Capacity Building Program, Catalyst brings together community development experts and technical assistance and coaching. The goal of the program is to increase the productivity of CDCs in Texas by offering a variety of classroom trainings throughout Texas. The purpose of the classroom training is two-fold: 1. To foster the specific skill set development needs of CDC participants in the Core Component Program, and 2. To offer more general training based on needs identified as applicable to all CDCs in Texas. Our diverse training sessions are conducted by individuals with extensive in-field experience. All housing, economic development, and banking professionals are welcome to attend. Member CDCs may be eligible for a discount on training costs. Member CDCs will have registration priority, and non-members will be subject to regular registration fees. Everyone is welcome to participate in our courses which cover a number of topics within the community development field. TACDC SAFE ACT NATIONAL TEST PREP COURSE TACDC is now offering a SAFE ACT National Test Prep Course. The TACDC SAFE Act National Test Prep Course is designed to assist you in preparing for and passing the SAFE Act National MLO exam. This course is for those that are about to take or have taken and failed the State and National Exam, with a greater focus on the national component. TACDC designed this test-prep since almost one-third of all test takers have failed the national exam, and more than half have failed their second attempt. The course is NOT the required Pre-Licensing course and is not approved by NMLS. It is designed to organize and supplement your study material. TACDC is a Texas 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been providing trainings to the Texas Community Development industry for over 15 years. TACDC has designed this test prep-course using our knowledge of the CDC industry to address the particular needs and experiences of the CDC loan originators. This course will also be helpful for individuals new to mortgage loan originating, and for the experienced loan originator requiring a study guide. The TACDC SAFE Act National Test Prep Course is open to all mortgage loan originators seeking additional guidance in preparation for the SAFE Act national exam. THIS COURSE WILL BE OFFERED FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY.
